What is a program logic?
Your program logic outlines the overall strategy of your intervention at a high level. Generally your program logic will follow a standard approach like some of the below:
- Theory of Change
- Logical Framework (Log Frame)
- Logic Model
- Impact Model
When structuring your program logic it is important to really understand the definitions of each level of your heirarchy. What someone identifies as a long-term outcome might mean something very different to you, and is often contextual to the length of the intervention. Torch helps teams better understand this with the Wizard by including instructions to each level of the heirarchy. Our built in project templates already have instruction sets included to guide teams through the best practice structure for a specific program logic type, however you can also define your own project templates and instruction sets based off your organisations approach.

As each section of your program logic is completed the wizard will mark that section as complete. This will allow everyone on your team to quickly see where you are up to in your overall design. Any edits can be made directly within the wizard to quickly adjust as it is reviewed.
